Kevin Reski is from a large working class family of 11 and a 1974 high school graduate from Moorhead, Minnesota.
Currently, Kevin has served as the President, CEO, COO, owner operator and tower climber at Great Plains Towers for the past 42 years of the businesses 55 years of existence.
Their trademark “Dakota Towers” denotes their line of products, which it manufactures at their West Fargo, North Dakota campus. His company objective for continued success is to bring its customer’s requests to fruition by providing in-house, high quality turnkey products and its renowned premium installation services to their region of the USA.
Through requests from customers, Kevin has designed and patented several configurations of base hinged support structures, which are installed on every continent of the world. Because of his many years of experience, inventiveness and industry insight, he continues to be sought after to solve special structural and mechanical solutions.
The growing list of Dakota Tower products consists of solid rod guyed and self-supporting towers, hinged poles, hinged towers, telescoping masts, radio shelter buildings, ballast trays for support structures plus the myriad of associated products needed for wireless, MET or surveillance support sites.
Kevin and one of his tower construction crews can be seen shepherding Mike Rowe while their crew safely stacks a 330’ tall guy wire tower using a gin pole on the TV reality show Dirty Jobs “Tower Top-Hand” episode which is on available to view on his company website home page www.GreatPlainsTowers.com.
He is very proud of his family and the high quality of people he surrounds himself to work with and to help stimulate the culture of tower safety through their actions at his workplace alongside their industry partner NATE. He previously held a position on the NATE Board of Directors for several years, is one of the original founding father companies and received the NATE Distinguished Service Award in 2015.
